2. To understand some of the various payment models and how the parity laws can affect third party reimbursement for Tele-Nutrition services
3. To understand requirements such as equipment, license, insurance, etc. when seeing patients via Telehealth
4. To understand the “Do’s and Don’ts for making your session successful

The webinar is designed for dietitians that are interested in starting a telenutrition program in their facility whether private practice, a rural health clinic, hospital or other facility. The information will be appropriate for those new to tele-health/tele-nutrition or to those with a general understanding but have never set up a program on their own. Insurance reimbursement will be discussed along with codes and other relevant information to help you become successful in providing telehealth and
getting reimbursed for your services. Also included will be a discussion of good policies and good ethics for improved communication with your patients.
Dee Pratt received her B.S. Degree from the University of TN and completed her Traineeship at Methodist Health Care in Memphis, TN. She is past President of the Memphis Area Nutrition Council, the Memphis Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the TN Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Dee served seven years as the Chair of the TN Licensure Board for Dietitian Nutritionists. She is a past recipient of the TN Outstanding Dietitian of the Year award and three-time recipient of the Memphis Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics award. In 2018, Dee was a recipient of the prestigious Medallion Award presented by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She has served on numerous committees and work groups including the Peer Network for Nutrition Care Process, the Standardized Language Committee, and presently serves on the Nutrition Care Process (NCP ) Advisory Work group. She was the first dietitian to be selected to serve as a member of Cahaba Government Services POE advisory board and now serves on the Palmetto Government Services POE. Dee also serves on the Advisory Committee for UT Martin Family and Consumer Sciences and volunteers her time lecturing the students and interns on NCP, private practice, reimbursement and telehealth. Dee is the President and co-owner of Dietitian Associates, Inc, a nutrition consulting and private practice firm in the Memphis area. She is a nationally recognized speaker for NCP and telenutrition and has led many of the successes in reimbursement issues in Tennessee.
