RESPONSIBILITIES: The Department of Health Professions invites applicants to apply for a visiting assistant professor position in the Nutrition Program for the 2010-2011 academic year. Teach upper division human nutrition courses such as Medical Nutrition Therapy and other applied human nutrition courses. Participate in program and curriculum development and evaluation. Teach in the classroom and online. Develop new online courses. Apply current computer and other technologies in the classroom. Advise students. Serve on departmental, school and college committees. Fulfill other duties as assigned by department chair and/or Nutrition Coordinator. The successful candidate must have the ability to work with and be sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse urban population that includes U.S. ethnic minorities and/or women.
QUALIFICATIONS: Required Qualifications: ABD in Dietetics, Foods & Nutrition, Food Science/Technology, Public Health Nutrition, or other Nutrition-related fields. Preferred Qualifications: Earned doctorate. RD (Registered Dietitian) with an earned graduate degree in one of the fields listed above, four years relevant work experience, teaching experience at the college level. |
