2010 Colorado Dietetic Association Award Nominations
Nominate a fellow RD, DTR or student for the outstanding work they do! Nominations for the positions listed below are due by February 26, 2010.
Outstanding Dietitian Award (ODY): This is the top honor presented to a CDA member. This individual has contributed to CDA through active, long-term participation and service. This includes but is not limited to service as an officer, committee chairman or member and/or association member. They have been an inspiration to others in the field and demonstrated high standards of professionalism and spirit of service to others in the field of dietetics or allied health fields. Additionally they have made contributions to the profession as a part of a broader contribution to human progress and improvement.
Emerging Dietetic Leader: This award recognizes the competence, leadership and activities of dietitians, regardless of their age, who have made distinctive contributions to CDA and ADA early in their dietetics career (practicing between 5-10 years). Not previously selected as RYDY or RDTY.
Recognized Dietetic Technician of the Year (RDTY): This award recognizes the professional contributions of dietetic technicians in CDA and ADA and to encourage their continued participation in Association affairs. This individual has demonstrated leadership in the Association and a concern for the promotion of optimal health and nutritional status of the population.
Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year (RYDY): This award recognizes the competence and activities of younger dietitians in CDA and to encourage their continued participation in Association affairs. This individual must be 35 years of age or younger. They must have demonstrated leadership and concern for the promotion of optimal health and nutritional statues of the population.
Outstanding Dietetics Student: This individual must have demonstrated academic achievement as documented by letters from program Faculty or Preceptors. Additionally, they must have demonstrated leadership and professional potential.
Announcing the 2010 Colorado Dietetic Association Scholarships and Member Recognition Program! CDA will award scholarships to one or more of its members who plan to attend a professional development event. CDA would also like to recognize a member who has gone above and beyond.
